WHAT TO EXPECT

We don't have to do it all alone. We were never meant to.

-Brene Brown

Step 1: Making Contact

Visit my CONTACT page to schedule a free 20-minute phone consultation. I use this time to learn more about your therapy needs and to answer any questions you may have.

Please have your insurance information on hand at time of consultation if you wish to go through your insurance provider for services. If you decide to move forward with Resiliency Counseling Services I will email you an new client packet which will need to be completed prior to your intake appointment.

Step 2:  Intake

My intake appointments generally last 60 minutes and are a time for me to get to know you better. Future sessions will be more therapeutic in nature, I promise. During this session I will gather more information on current symptoms and what you hope to gain from therapy services. Additionally I will collect background information related to your: mental health, childhood, education, relationships, present living situation and your career. Together we will develop a treatment plan and goals for therapy.

Step 3: Therapy

Therapy is a joint process where you are the leader.

YOU DECIDE

I, as your therapist, will walk alongside and offer tools and expertise to help you see things in ways you might have not seen them before. I offer insight, empathetic active listening, reflective summaries, and unconditional positive regard. I also make it a point to check in with you every step of the way and give you the tools you need to live the life you want.

  • what works best for you

  • where you want to start

  • what you want to talk about

  • what you DON'T want to talk about.
